Photo Report: Coleman Coliseum

The renovations at Coleman Coliseum are making visible progress on the outside, and on the inside it's apparent that a great deal of work is going on.

Alabama Director of Athletics Mal Moore stressed that many of the improvments that have been made or are in progress on campus in Tuscaloosa are just catching up to the pack.

Coleman Coliseum renovations include widening of the concourse area, new restroom and concession areas and an impressive new look to the lobby.

This picture from inside of Coleman Coliseum shows the inside of the arena at the front of the building. To the right of this photo will be a club level and east entrance. Coaches offices will be located through a door at the top of the second level where the seating ends.

A current photo of the front of Coleman Coliseum. There is a perimeter around the base of the two trees in front, and they are expected to remain in place.

Writers also toured parts of the football complex, adjacent to Coleman Coliseum. The photo above is just a portion of the training room that is usable by all athletes.

With a view from the recruiting room upstairs, writers got a quick look of strength and conditioning coach Kent Johnston working out a group of football players in the weight room.

The tour wrapped up at Bryant Hall. This state-of-the-art academic facility contains this large classroom that is shared between athletics and the college of nursing, as well as several small group study rooms and a computer lab.
