Davis Works

Marlon Davis is receiving high remarks from the Alabama coaching staff during fall camp. Following Monday morning's work-out session, Coach Bob Connelly said, "Physically, he's as good as anyone we have out there. He's got a bright, bright future. He's going to play a lot as a true freshman."

Marlon Davis came to Tuscaloosa prepared and worked hard in the off-season. Davis and several other Alabama football signees were in a work-out program with personal trainer Jack Eyer.

When asked of his off-season work-out Davis replied, "I thought it was really good. It was a good work-out. I feel like it helped me a lot. I was able to get quicker and faster.

"It was good to work-out with some of my teammates. Everyone was pretty cool. It helped us all get on one page. I really enjoyed it," Davis added.

Davis is anxious to see the field September 3, and his work-ethic during the off-season is going to get him there.

"I would like to play this year," he said. "I don't want to redshirt. The coaches have said I will probably play. Right now, I am 6-3, 300 pounds."
