Wrapping a Good Week

Mark Sanders and Terrence Jones are likely to miss Saturday's game against Arkansas at 11:30 a.m., but Alabama Head Coach Mike Shula expected to have back some players that will be crucial to stopping Arkansas' league-leading running game.

Shula said defensive tackles Dominic Lee, who had a leg infection that caused him to miss the South Carolina trip, and Justin Britt, who missed because of a shoulder injury, would be available to help shore up the Tide's defensive line.

"They're going to be ready to go," Shula said, "which is really helpful because of the way arkansas runs the ball and they like to bring in two tights."

Shula did say Sanders would be on the dress roster Saturday.

Captains for Saturday's game are Roman Harper (defense) Charlie Peprah (special teams) and Tyrone Prothro (offense). The Tide will have a closed walk-through at the practice facility tomorrow morning to prepare for the early kickoff.

"I think our guys have had another good week of preparation," Shula said. "We've got some senior leadership that has showed up like I would have hoped. That's going to be real important this weekend... Tonight getting in and getting some rest, tomorrow come in and focus, Saturday realizing that it's going to be an early game and getting the blood flowing."

Chris Keys was another player who missed a day of practice Wednesday, but Shula said he practice today and will be ready to go.
