Tide Head Coach Sarah Patterson couldn't have planned things better if she had written the script in advance. In front of a raucous Alabama home crowd, Patterson's GymTiders turned in an outstanding performance to best defending champion UCLA and archrival Georgia for the national title.

One of two true freshmen to compete for Alabama last night, Alexis Brion strikes a dramatic pose during her floor routine. Brion contributed a 9.850 on vault and tied for the team lead on floor with a 9.900.
