Bama Noticed

Josh Hawkins is one of the biggest high school offensive lineman in the state of Alabama. At 6-7, 305 pounds, the Greenville High School prospect is having a tough season with his prep squad managing only one win for the season. But Hawkins is getting attention. Hawkins has set one official visit and other schools are on his list.

"I will take my official visit to Mississippi State January 20," said Josh Hawkins. "I think I am going over to Starkville on November 6 for an unofficial visit."

He said, "I am thinking about taking official visits to Louisville, LSU and Auburn. I plan on going to the homecoming game at Alabama next week. I basically like all those schools. I don't really have any overall favorite."

Alabama is a new school on the three-star lineman's list. The Crimson Tide's success on the field has caught Hawkins' attention.

"I am very interested in Alabama," Hawkins said. "They are having a great year. I am looking forward to my visit there.".

Hawkins said he has received scholarship offers from Alabama, Oklahoma, Louisville, Auburn, Arkansas and Mississippi State.

It's been a tough year for Hawkins on the field, but he is holding his own on the offensive line.

"The season hasn't been going that good," said Hawkins. "We are 1-7 right now. We play at Russell County Friday night. I have been grading out between 75 and 85 per cent every game."
