Another athlete to walk-on at Alabama

has learned of another fullback/linebacker prospect with intentions of walking on at Alabama this season.

Rusty Hill, a hard-nosed player for 3A state champion Hokes Bluff High School has made the decision to pay his own way and try to earn a spot on the Tide roster this fall.

At 6-1, and 215 pounds, Hill has good size for his position. And his reported best clocking of 4.70 in the 40-yard dash is solid speed.

Out of Hokes Bluff, Hill played fullback/linebacker in high school and was the vocal leader of his team his senior year.

A weight-room terror who carries that adrenaline over to the football field, Hill will really lower the boom on hits. Whether he is making a tackle at linebacker or leading a sweep from his fullback position, he is a physical player who loves contact.

EDITOR'S NOTE: So long as a prospect cannot be classified as a "recruited walk-on," the athlete can pay his own way to play football at Alabama and he will not count against the Tide's scholarship numbers should he ever play in a game.
