Standing 6-1 and weighing 180 pounds, Brock has outstanding size for cornerback. And his reported clocking of 4.50 in the 40-yard dash is plenty fast for the position.
Brock has an aggressive mentality that allows him to stick his nose in the receivers face mask and have confidence that he can't beat him on his route. That belief in his ability led him to 68 tackles and eight interceptions in 15 games as a junior.
The top cover man for the 5A State Champions last season, Brock's break on the ball when it is in the air is worth the price of admission. He is quick, fast, and dependable, plus he is versatile enough to play receiver on offense.
Brock started playing both ways late in his junior year and he came away with 10 catches for 120 yards and two Tds.
Brock was a first team All Area and All State selection as a junior.
He has camped at Auburn and his Dad, Jimmy Brock played on the plains.
He bench presses 240 pounds and squats 330. He carries an 84 average in the classroom and will take the ACT in April.
Brock has a recruiting list that includes Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, LSU, and Florida.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Eric attended this past weekend's NIKE Football Camp held at Alabama, where he caught the attention of coaches and other recruiting analysts present.
