Alabama Coach Mike Shula offered condolences Thursday to the family of Indianapolis Colts Coach Tony Dungy, whose 18-year-old son, James, died.

Alabama Head Coach Mike Shula called the loss of James Dungy, the 18-year-old son of Indianapolis Colts Coach Tony Dungy, a "tragedy". Dungy was found dead in a Tampa-area apartment Thursday.

"I found out just before our meetings this morning," Shula said after practice. "He was a really good kid. "I think a lot of Tony and his family. My heart goes out to them at this time. My thoughts and prayers are with them."

Shula served as the offensive coordinator under Dungy in Tampa Bay from 1996-99. During his four-year stint, the Bucs made the NFL playoffs twice, including the NFC Championship game in 1999.
