Phenix City, Ala.--Even though Earl Alexander's name has surfaced as a possible visitor to Auburn for the final weekend of official visits prior to national signing day for the class of 2006, the athletic quarterback prospect says that is not the case and he plans on signing with Alabama. "Nah, I don't plan on coming in," he tells Inside the Auburn Tigers.
"Nah, I wasn't ever thinking about that," he adds about planning on coming in this weekend. "I mean, if I was it was going to be on the 13th." The 13th was a date he previously set to visit Auburn.
"It was on the (January) 13th though," he continues about why his name has surfaced twice now as a possible visitor to the Plains. "I was thinking about it before then, but after I decided not to go on the 13th I haven't really thought anything else about it."
The 6-4, 203-pounder, who is expected to get his first look at the quarterback position in college at Alabama, says that he came to the decision because he doesn't see any reasons to take any other visits at this point in the process.
"I just feel that I am pleased with my decision and to be honest I just don't feel that I need to," he notes. Alexander is currently playing basketball for the Central High Red Devils.
