Stevens took an official visit to Clemson last weekend, and the Tigers made a great impression with the 6-2, 215-pound linebacker.
"The visit to Clemson went really good," Stevens said. "My host was Renerick Taylor. He was real cool. He showed me a good time. The coaches let me sit back and take everything in. I really enjoyed being around Coach [Dabo] Sweeney. He is real cool."
"Clemson is a great place. I like the atmosphere. It's a small town, and I like that. They are adding on to the stadium. It should turn out really nice. All the players and coaches are real nice as well."
Stevens will welcome coaches from Alabama tonight. The Tide staff added former teammate Cole Harvey to the Alabama roster as a 2005 greyshirt.
"I know coach [Bob] Connelly is coming tonight," Stevens said. "I think he is bringing a few other coaches with him as well. I am looking forward to the visit."
"I like Alabama a lot. I really like everything about Alabama. The thing I like the most is the tradition."
Alabama's in-state rival remains in the race for his signature as Stevens stated, "Auburn is about the same as Clemson. They are a small town school. I really like the players and coaches at Auburn. I think Auburn is making an in-home visit tomorrow night."
"I really don't know everything I will look at," Stevens said of the factors of his decision. "I guess I will go to the place where I feel the most comfortable."
