Back From Tuscaloosa

Alabama verbal commitment LaBronski Hutchins took his official visit to Tuscaloosa this weekend. The Benjamin Russell linebacker talks of his teammate's decision as well.

"I am very happy I stuck with my commitment," said LaBronski Hutchins. "This weekend everything about my official visit was great. Everything was really nice."

"Alabama has a lot of things to offer. I really like the academics. I had a great time hanging out with all the players as well."

Hutchins was hosted by Alabama redshirt freshman defensive lineman Lorenzo Washington.

"Lorenzo was a real good guy," Hutchins said. "He is tight. We hung out with a bunch of the other players. I hung out with Peanut [Deantwan Whitehead] and Javier Arenas the whole time."

Hutchins has been working hard in the weight room and is 6-3, 195 pounds. He spent time this weekend with his future position coach.

"I met coach [Joe] Kines this weekend," he said. "He was really nice. I liked him a lot. He talked to me about the position I would play at Alabama. He said I would be an outside linebacker."

"I hung out and met all the other coaches as well. I really had a good time with everyone."

Hutchins will sign with the Tide on Wednesday, but some work remains in the classroom as he shared, "I am taking the ACT in February. I need to increase my score a few points. I should be fine. I plan to enroll at Alabama sometime in the summer."

Benjamin Russell tight end/defensive end Michael Goggans will announce his college choice on Wednesday. Alabama, Auburn and Tennessee are the schools on his final list.

"I don't know what Michael is going to do," Hutchins said. "I have been talking to him all week. He has told me that he will decide between Auburn and Tennessee."
