National Signing Day

Who will sign with Alabama on National Signing Day? The Tide coaches and members will find out at the same time as the faxes roll into the athletic department this morning. No. 1 offensive lineman Andre Smith will announce his decision in the state of Alabama at Huffman High School. All four schools--Alabama, USC, LSU and Florida remain in the race until his letter of intent is faxed to the athletic department of the school of his choice. "Andre is not a lock to stay in-state," Andre Smith, Sr. said last week. His announcement is scheduled for 11:00am.

Alabama received good news early Tuesday afternoon as Mississippi's Mr. Football Terry Grant announced his decision to play for the Crimson Tide. The Lumberton High School running back is a Prothro-style playmaker and a great addition to the Tide's 2006 class.

Recardo Wright has been waiting for a signing day decision, and his high coach, Kevin Pettis, confirmed Wright will switch his commitment to FSU on signing day. Then again, anything can happen on signing day.

Milton Talbert three-star Milton Talbert, from Hattiesburg, (Miss.) is ready to announce his decision. The 6-3, 235-pound defensive end may feel less pressure now that Terry Grant has gone public with his decision. Look for Talbert to sign with the Tide as well. Talbert will announce his decision at 10:00 am.

In less than 24 hours the Alabama coaching staff will celebrate the end of a roller-coaster ride signing class. Stay tuned to for a very eventful day.
