Tide Legacy Signs

Scout.com three-star corner back Jake Jones Birmingham-Mountain Brook, (Ala.)

Jake Jones (6-1, 180) recorded 34 tackles, three interceptions, 200 yards receiving and 400 yards in punt returns during his senior year.

"I felt more comfortable with Alabama," Jones said about his decision. "I grew up an Alabama fan my whole life and three of my best friends are already committed to Alabama. Alabama was the best fit for my abilities."

Jones was recruited by coach Charlie Harbison to play corner back for the Tide.

He chose Alabama over offers from LSU, South Carolina, West Virginia and Vanderbilt.

His father and head coach, Joey Jones, was a Tider wide receiver from 1980-83.

Jones is on track to qualify.
