Four-Star Lineman Faxes Signature four-star offensive lineman David Ross Homewood, (Ala.)

David Ross is the second best lineman in the state behind Huffman's Andre Smith. Ross helped his team to back-to-back state championships in Class 5A competition and was awarded Class 5A Lineman of the Year.

Ross (6-3.5, 287) expects to begin his college career on the inside of the line at guard or center. He played left tackle throughout his high school career.

"I had all my questions answered," Ross said after commiting to Alabama. "I wanted to make sure I was getting into a program with a solid coaching staff. I felt like the Alabama coaching staff will be in Tuscaloosa for a long time. I felt at home at Alabama. It's a program on the incline, and I feel like I will have a good chance to compete and win a national championship. I didn't feel like I would have that opportunity at any of the other schools I was considering. There are a lot of advantages of playing at Alabama that will help you after college as well. There is a good chance for early playing time."

Ross chose Alabama over scholarship offers from Auburn, Florida, Tennessee and LSU.

Ross is on track to qualify.
