Bama Wins To Reach Title Game

Making only his second start of his career, Tide freshman Brent Carter pitched his first career complete game, allowing only two runs, as Alabama (51-14) defeated Florida Atlantic (45-19) by a score of 7-2 to force a second game this afternoon at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. The winner of the second game will face Georgia Tech next weekend in the NCAA Super Regionals.

Offensively UA scored a run in the first, second, fourth and sixth innings and then exploded in the ninth inning for three runs to put the game out of reach.

Carter's record improves to 2-0 on the season.
