"There are a lot of schools sending me letters right now," said Ryan Williams from Mobile, (Ala.). "Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Kentucky, Louisville, Kansas State, Miami, Arkansas, Ball State, Texas, Florida State and Florida have all expressed interest."
"I have not received any offers yet, but my coach said a lot of schools have talked to him about offering when they come to the school in the spring."
Williams participated in the U.S. Army All-American combine in San Antonio last month, and he put on a show. He walked away as one of four defensive backs selected to the First Team All-Combine Team. His teammate, Elliot McGaskin, was also selected First Team.
The Texas Longhorns were preparing for the national championship the day of the Junior combine, and it didn't take long for the coaching staff to inquire of the standout combine performer.
"One of the coaches from Texas called my coach the other day," Williams said. "He told him they were very interested in me, and they are coming to see me this spring. They want me to come out to their Junior Day. I may do that. I am not sure if I will or not. I am very interested in Texas though."
In addition to the Longhorns, Williams has interest in Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Louisville, Kentucky, Arkansas and Florida.
"Right now, I am pretty much open between all those schools," Williams said. "I don't have a favorite or anything. I am looking at everyone. I am going to check-out the depth charts of each school. I want to find out where the best opportunity for me to get on the field soon."
Coaches from a couple of SEC schools have been to B.C. Rain scouting the talented tandem, and many more are expected throughout the spring.
"LSU and Kentucky both came in last week," Williams said. "They talked to my coach for a little while. They said they will return in the spring. Alabama, Auburn and LSU have all said they are planning to come here as well."
Williams has been invited to several schools for Junior Day as he shared, "Alabama, Texas, Auburn and LSU have all sent me information about their Junior Day. I am definitely going to attend Alabama, Auburn and LSU. I am still thinking about Texas."
"I am not sure which camps I will attend. I know I am going to the Scout.com combine. Alabama, Southern Miss and Kentucky have all sent me packages on their summer camps."
Williams recorded 10 receptions for 300 yards with four touchdowns during his junior campaign. He recorded 50 tackles and four interceptions on defense.
