Monster Junior Year for Big LB

Jeffrey Daniels is one of the top linebackers in the state for the class of 2007. The 6-2, 230-pound prospect has attracted the interest of several programs after an impressive junior campaign.

"I have not received any offers yet," said Jeffrey Daniels from Brantley, (Ala). "Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, Memphis and Louisville have been showing a lot of interest in me right now."

"I would have to say my favorites are Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, LSU, Florida, Tennessee and Louisville. I don't have an overall favorite. They are all equal."

Daniels talks about his favorites.

Alabama: "I love their defense."

Auburn: "There have been a lot of good players come out of Auburn."

Florida State: "I just have always liked them."

LSU: "LSU seems like they have a good team almost every single year."

Florida: "Florida is a team that takes a lot of chances. They have Tim Tebow as well."

Tennessee: "It's close to home."

Louisville: "I just like them because they were the first school to send me a letter."

Daniels recorded 158 tackles and five interceptions from his linebacker position during his junior campaign. He wants to improve a couple of aspects of his game before the fall season.

"I need to work on my speed and agility," he said. "I feel like I read plays very well. I am a very hard hitter."

Daniels will attend Junior Day at Alabama and Auburn, and he knows what he is seeking in his college choice.

"It's basically going to be a family decision," he said. "We are going to try to find the best place for me. We want to find a place that wants to use me for the talents that I have."

Daniels will attend the All-American Combine in Tuscaloosa April 29.
