Loachapoka Safety Gaining Interest

The class of 2007 in the state of Alabama is strong with defensive backs with talented prospects such as Elliott McGaskin, Ryan Williams, Michael McNeil and Phelon Jones. Loachapoka's Corey Hart is added to the list as well.

"I have not received any offers yet, but I have been hearing from a lot of programs," said Cory Hart from Loachapoka, (Ala.). "The schools showing the most interest in me right now are Alabama, Auburn, Vanderbilt, LSU, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Southern Miss, Georgia Tech and Indiana."

"I really don't have a favorite or anything right now. I am parked in neutral. I grew up favoring Alabama. That might have an impact on my decision, but for now I am going to remain idle."

Hart was named First Team All-State (1A) the past two years, and he participated in the Alabama Junior All-Star game in December.

The 6-2, 203-pound athlete is aware of his strengths and what he would like to improve before his senior season.

"I am a hard hitter, and I have great coverage ability," Hart said. "I still feel like I need to keep working on my coverage skills and breaking on the ball a lot quicker."

Hart maintains a 3.1 GPA and knows what he is seeking in his college destination.

"I am trying to find the school where I will get the best education," he said. "I want to find a place where I will have a chance to play early as well. I don't want to go somewhere and sit on the bench for three years."

Hart plans to attend Junior Day at Alabama (3-4) and Auburn (3-11).

He will attend the Scout.com All-American combine in Tuscaloosa April 29.
