"I have been receiving interest from Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Indiana, Memphis and Purdue," said Terrence Thomas from Eufaula, (Ala.). "Right now I would say my favorites are Alabama, Mississippi State, Auburn and Vanderbilt."
"Alabama is my overall favorite. I feel like it's a program that would be better for me athletically and academically."
Thomas talks about his favorites.
Alabama : "It's a good atmosphere, and I like their playing style."
Mississippi State: "The coaches sound like they are really interested in me when I talk to them."
Auburn: "I have been there before, and I like their facilities. Auburn would be a good school to attend."
Vanderbilt: "It's a nice atmosphere and a good program. It would be a good place to be as well."
Thomas will travel the next two weekends for Junior Day at Alabama (3-4) and Auburn (3-11).
The 6-0, 215-pound linebacker was named All-County following his junior year, and has several aspects of his game he wants to improve before his senior season.
"I feel like I have good speed (4.59), and I am good at covering in the flats,"Thomas said. "I am good at containing the quarterback, and I fill the alleys."
"I need to work on my footwork and get quicker before next season. I need to become more aggressive as well."
Thomas sports a 2.75 GPA and scored a 17 on the ACT.
When asked the basis of his college decision Thomas replied, "I am going to base my decision on the coaching staff, the atmosphere and the people around me."
Thomas will participate in the Scout.com All-American Combine in Tuscaloosa April 29.
