Top Frosh

Crimson Tide freshman centerfielder Brittany Rogers was named this week's SEC Freshman of the Week, the second time this year she has won the honor.

Brittany Rogers posted a .529 batting average (9-17) in helping lead the Alabama softball team to a 4-1 record during the week. She scored eight runs and was also 5-6 in stolen bases while recording a hit in all five games and posting multi-hit games in four of them. She recorded a .588 slugging percentage and a .579 on-base percentage and as the lead-off in the Tide's lineup, Rogers started four of the five games getting on base. She was just as dangerous with two outs, hitting .667 (4-6) on the week.

The honor marks the second time this season Rogers has received an SEC award and the 11th time this season the team has received a weekly award from the league office.
