Sanders Receives First SEC Offer

Buckhorn defensive lineman Justin Sanders ranks as one of the top defensive ends in the state for the class of 2007. Sanders holds four scholarship offers with his first SEC offer arriving last week.

"I received offers last week from South Carolina and Troy," said Justin Sanders from New Market, (Ala.). "I was real excited about the offer from South Carolina. It's my first SEC offer, and I am really happy."

"I have always watched South Carolina, and I like coach Steve Spurrier. I like the offer from them a lot."

Sanders is wide open with his recruitment and stated, "I am interested in a lot of schools right now. I am really open right now. I am still waiting for an offer from Alabama. They still haven't offered me."

Several schools are calling and attending practice this spring to see the 6-5, 270-pound lineman.

"We had coaches from Memphis, South Carolina and Louisville come by the high school last week," Sanders said. "Nobody has been by this week. I have received phone calls from Southern Miss, UAB and Auburn."

Sanders recorded 118 tackles, 18 sacks and 16 tackles for loss for his junior season.
