Rebecca Johnston: What is your favorite moment in sports history?
RJ: What would you do first if you won the lottery?
AW: Buy a house.
RJ: Who is the most important person in your life?
AW: My parents.
RJ: What is the hardest thing you've ever gone through?
AW: When my Auntie died 3 years ago.
RJ: What's the funniest thing that ever happened to you?
AW: I set the garbage can on fire.
RJ: How did that happen?
AW: I was playing with a lighter. I had a real affection for fire back then, and I wanted to see how fast it would melt plastic. I lit a plastic bag and, it burned fast all right. I dropped it in the garbage can and caught the can on fire. I got in big trouble.
RJ: What is something we don't know about your head coach?
AW: (Coach Bart Stowe) He is a caring guy. He loves kids.
RJ: Who is the best player on your team (besides you)?
AW: There's a whole bunch of them. I couldn't name just one.
RJ: What is your favorite thing about school?
AW: Playing football.
RJ: What is your favorite childhood memory?
AW: It just amazes me how I've grown up. I was a crybaby. The youngest of three sons.
RJ: What is your greatest virtue?
AW: I'm very laid back, nothing fazes me. I'm a down to earth kid.
RJ: What is the virtue you most admire in others?
RJ: Do you have pets?
AW: I have a whole bunch of dogs.
RJ: What is your favorite food?
AW: When you're my size everything is good. (laughing) I guess ice cream and fried okra.
RJ: Who is your favorite musical performer?
JM: I don't listen to much, but I like slow music. It helps me to relax.
RJ: What is your favorite video game?
AW: Super Smash Brothers on 64.
RJ: What is your favorite season of the year?
AW: Fall. Football season
RJ: If you could visit any place where would you go?
AW: The Middle East.
RJ: Where in the Middle East?
AW: Basically the Holy Land. Jerusalem.
RJ: Where would you like to live?
AW: In the Caribbean.
RJ: Who is your hero?
AW: My parents.
RJ: What is your proudest moment?
AW: Whenever I sack the quarterback.
RJ: Excluding football what is your favorite sport?
RJ: If you could attend a football game with two people, one a family member or friend and the other person someone you don't know but, that you admire, who would you take?
AW: My dad and a girlfriend.
RJ: The girlfriend to be named later?
RJ: After your college career is over how would you like to be remembered in their history?
AW: I would like to break the sack record.
The sack record at the University of Alabama belongs to the unanimous All-American selection Derrick Thomas with 52 total sacks in his collegiate career. The linebacker in 1988 alone set a season record of 27.
