Photo report: Veterans join newcomers at practice

With 79 veterans added to the 25 newcomers who reported last Sunday, the first full day of fall two-a-days got underway. The "105" will continue working until August 21 when classes begin and the rest of Bama's players can join the workouts.

Senior tailback Ahmaad Galloway talks to the media. Newcomers had held center stage since reporting last Sunday, but the veterans are back in town now.

With receivers looking on, freshman quarterback Brandon Avalos lets fly in passing drills.

During pass coverage drills, Rover Mark Anders leaps high to try and catch an errant pass.

So you want to play college football? As senior center Alonzo Ephraim demonstrates, it involves both effort and sweat.
Buckets of sweat.

Defensive Coordinator Carl Torbush conducts a drill. In his second year working with the team, Torbush is determined that Alabama's defensive will be significantly better.

New receivers William Hold (# 83), Jason Bolding (# 87), Marcus McKnight (# 82) and Zach Fletcher (# 80) walk off the field, followed by position Coach Kenith Pope.

Junior receiver Dre Fulgham sits following the morning workout. Fulgham had probably the best spring of all Bama's wideouts and is looking for a breakout year.

Backlit by the practice field lighting, players walk off following the evening practice.
