Jermaine McKenzie to Stick with the Tide? four-star wide receiver Jermaine McKenzie gave his verbal commitment to the University of Alabama, but the firing of head coach Mike Shula late Sunday night left a lot of questions. Verbal pledges are voicing their opinions, and McKenzie tells us his situation.

"I'm hurt a little bit, but I'm still committed to Bama," Jermaine McKenzie said from Bradenton, (Fla.) Academy.

McKenzie suffered from turf toe during the season, but states he is doing better now.

The coaching staff had remained steadfast with the incoming 2007 freshman seeing the field early. He is working in the off-season and has the same goal.

"I'm just training, lifting weights. Doing what I do in the summer--speed, strength and conditioning pretty much," he said.

He stands 6-2, 175-pounds and when asked if the changes in the coaching staff will change his decision, "No, not really," he said.
