Alabama Junior Receives SEC Offer

Vestavia Hills junior running back Justin Rogers made a pretty nice statement this past Friday in the state semifinal game against Hoover. Despite losing the ball game, Rogers has thrown down the gauntlet for 2007.

Rogers, the son of former Mississippi State player Kenny Rogers, is already receiving interest from several schools.

"I am hearing from Clemson, LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Duke, Tulane and Mississippi State," said Rogers. "Alabama has offered me."

Justin believes he has what it takes to succeed on the college level.

"I feel that I am smooth type runner," explained Justin. "When I see the hole, I hit it. I stutter step until I see the hole and then I take off through it. No one is going to catch from behind."
