Alex Watkins Back from Alabama Visit three-star defensive end Alex Watkins, from Brownsville-Haywood, (Tenn.), verbally committed to the Crimson Tide back in the summer and has never wavered despite a coaching change. The 6-4, 225-pound Watkins took an official visit to the Capstone this weekend.

"The visit went real good," Alex Watkins said.

"I got down there about five o'clock on Friday, and they took me straight to get something to eat. I think I put on about six-pounds while I was down there," Watkins said laughing.

"The people were great. The coaches were real nice. They mean business. I am cool with all the coaches. All of them act like they have known me forever."

"Since I am playing linebacker and defensive end, coach Bo Davis and coach (Kevin) Steele (DC/LB) talked to me a lot. I liked both of them a lot. Coach Davis is a cool guy, and coach Steele is real funny."

"There is no doubt I am going to Alabama. I will not take any more visits, but I felt like that for a long time. This weekend just re-affirmed that."

"They told me to make sure I come up there in good condition because they are ready to work."
