Goode Commits to the Tide

The Crimson Tide landed the commitment of three-star running back Demetrice Goode during his official visit. Goode talks about becoming a part of Nick Saban's first recruiting class at the University of Alabama.

"I committed to Alabama yesterday during the basketball game," said Demetrice Goode. "I told coach Saban, and he was real happy about my decision."

"He told me he needs a guy like me to come in right away and help out the team. I am real excited about my decision."

"I committed to Alabama because of all the stuff going on with recruiting. The coaches really care about me. I was actually born in Alabama. I think it's a nice fit for me."

"My visit went very well. I really like the scenery there. The fans really love their football players in Tuscaloosa. The coaching staff is wonderful."

"Ali Sharrief was my official visit host. Ali is a cool guy. He told me all about the football program and how it's one of the best in the nation."

"I thought all the facilities were top notch. Everything in Tuscaloosa is top notch. They just added on to the stadium, and it's really nice."

"It feels good to be committed. Alabama is a good program to be a part of. This is Nick Saban's first recruiting class. It feels good to be a part of it."

Goode plans to enroll in the summer at the University of Alabama.
