Tide Visitor Seeking Offer

A sleeper prospect plans to arrive in Tuscaloosa this weekend for an official visit when Nettleton, (Miss.) receiver Jeremy Word makes the trip. Word (6-1, 190-pounds) put up impressive numbers for his senior season, and he talked with Scout.com about his upcoming visit.

"I am visiting Alabama this weekend," Jeremy Word said. "It is really just Alabama. If they offer I will take it."

"The coaches told me we would talk about their plans with me this weekend. Coach Saban and coach Ron (Middleton) came by to see me Sunday. They just wanted to get to know me more. They said they were waiting on some other players before they know if I have a scholarship or not."

"I think Coach Sparky (Woods) told them about me before he left. Coach Ron (Middleton) came down and got some tape from my coaches last week. I guess they liked it."

Word recorded 37 receptions for 500 yards and 30 rushes for 400 yards and 15 touchdowns. Word says he was clocked at 4.37 earlier this season.

"I think I have great speed and great hands. I can really jump too," Word added.
