The Plans for Ken Dailey

Defensive back Ken Dailey, from Mobile-Baker, (Ala.), took an official visit to Alabama over the weekend. Baker arrived hoping to receive a scholarship offer from coach Nick Saban. Dailey tells of the plans.

"My official visit went good," said Ken Dailey from Mobile, (Ala.). "I liked everything about Alabama. I really liked it a lot. I like coach Saban. He seems like a real good person."

"Marquis Johnson was my host for the weekend. I liked him a lot. He was real cool."

Dailey noted what he liked best about his visit to Tuscaloosa.

"My favorite part about the visit was when they toured me around the campus," he said. "I enjoyed the basketball game as well. I thought it was pretty good."

Dailey is one of the best athletes in the state, but unfortunately he missed his senior season with a broken hand. He broke his hand in the third game of his junior year as well.

He was a standout performer during summer camps. He was one of the best defensive backs at Alabama's camp, and he turned in a 4.36-40 yard dash at the Southern Miss camp.

"Coach Saban told me he liked me a lot," Dailey said. "He said he liked what he saw on film, the little that he did. He said he wished he could have seen more of me."

"He told me he is going to let me know something tomorrow or no later than Tuesday."

Dailey has a scholarship offer from Southern Miss, and said, "I really like Alabama a lot. To be honest that is really where I want to go. We will just have to wait and see."

"Alabama is recruiting me to play cornerback. I am currently 6-2, 190-pounds."
