Alabama Signs Jeremy Elder

Defensive tackle Jeremy Elder, from College Park-North Clayton, (Ga.), talks why he chose the University of Alabama.

"They have a good coaching staff," Jeremy Elder said. "I really like coach Nick Saban. They have great facilities. Alabama is a good program."

Elder is aware of his strengths and what he hopes to improve before enrolling at Alabama.

"I feel like my speed for my size is my biggest strengths," he said. "My agility is good as well."

"My weakness is getting off the ball and my footwork. I want to improve those things. I want to get stronger and faster as well."

"They want me to come in and play for them right away. They don't plan to redshirt me."

Elder currently holds a 2.5 GPA. He claims a qualifying test score and does not plan a re-take of the ACT.

Elder recorded 54 solo tackles, 38 assisted tackles, five sacks, three caused fumbles, one fumble recovery and one interception during his senior campaign. He was selected to the AJC Georgia Top 50.
