Tide Signee: Georgia Wide Receiver

Wide receiver Darius Hanks received a scholarship offer from Alabama when the new Tide coaching staff arrived in Tuscaloosa. He committed following his official visit and has signed his letter of intent.

"I chose Alabama because I really like te coaches, the campus, the facilities and the players a lot," said Darius Hanks from Norcross, (Ga.).

Hanks had a great senior season recording 55 receptions for 857 yards and eight touchdowns. He was named First Team All-State, First Team All-County and made the Georgia Booster Club First Team.

The 6-1, 165-pound receiver was closing in on an offer from Georgia, but decided to end his recruitment by committing to the Crimson Tide.

Hanks is on track to qualify.
