Tide Signee: South Panola Fullback

Scout.com four-star fullback Jeramie Griffin, from Batesville-South Panola, (Miss.), gave his commitment to the Alabama coaching staff Sunday evening, but did not finalize his decision until Tuesday afternoon. Griffin is now a part of Alabama's 2007 signing class.

"I really like the players, coaches and the campus at Alabama," said Jeramie Griffin from Batesville, (Miss.). "I really like everything about it, but especially the campus."

Griffin was named First Team All-State after rushing for 1,288 yards and 19 touchdowns. Griffin never lost a game in high school, and his South Panola Tigers own the state record for consectuive wins. He was a two year starter for the Tigers.

The four-star player is tough to tackle and has a lot of speed for a player his size.

Griffin scored a 17 on his last ACT attempt. He will need to improve his core GPA/ACT score to academically qualify.
