Tide Signee: Demetrius Goode

Scout.com three-star running back Demetrius Goode switched his commitment from Kentucky to Alabama. He talks of his decision.

Demetrius Goode is enrolled at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, (Va.). His high school performance at LaGrange-Troup, (Ga.), earned recognition.

He was a four-year letterman and three-year starter and used primarily as a running back. He also saw action as a defensive back and on kick-off returns.

He rushed for 1,630 yards and 20 touchdowns as a senior and named the Area Offensive Player of the Year by the LaGrange Daily News.

Goode was a three-year All-County selection, First-team All-State by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and was named to the paper's list of the top prospects in Georgia.

"I committed to Alabama because of all the stuff going on with recruiting," Goode said."The coaches really care about me. I was actually born in Alabama. I think it's a nice fit for me."

"I thought all the facilities were top notch. Everything in Tuscaloosa is top notch."

"It feels good to be committed. Alabama is a good program to be a part of. This is Nick Saban's first recruiting class. It feels good to be a part of it."
