The NCAA At Alabama

The practice day for the NCAA Central Region Gymnastics Championships is in the books and now all that is left is what promises to be the most electrifying competition of the season. It's tonight at Alabama's Coleman Coliseum.

"There is nothing like regionals in terms of excitement and pressure," Alabama Coach Sarah Patterson said. "There are six teams that will be competing tomorrow night and they all have one dream – to move on to Salt Lake City and the NCAA Championships. With such a young team, we are excited to be competing at home in front of the best fans in the world."

There are still plenty of great seats available for the event and tickets can be purchased from the Alabama Ticket Office located in the lobby of Coleman Coliseum. The ticket office opens at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and tickets are $10 for adults while the youth tickets are $7.

Two teams from each of the six regional championships which get underway around the country Saturday night at 6 p.m., will advance to the national championships. Alabama is looking for its 25th NCAA Championship berth.

To advance, the No. 3 Crimson Tide must face No. 10 Oklahoma, No. 15 Iowa State, No. 19 Michigan State, No. 21 Ohio State and No. 26 Kentucky.

The Central Regional boasts the tightest grouping of ranked teams of any of the regionals this season.
