"Yes ma'am, I went yesterday," Undra Billingsley said from Birmingham, (Ala.). "It was a lot of people. I didn't expect that many people to come. It was a whole lot of people."
"I really liked the things that I saw, and I think that we've got a real good defense, a blitzing defense. I liked it."
We asked Billingsley if he sees himself fitting into the Tide's new defense. "Yes ma'am, I saw myself there," he responded.
"I watched the players that I already knew like Andre (Smith), Simeon (Castille) and people like that."
And who impressed, "Well, because Andre is from Birmingham I was kind of watching him. He impressed me. Like always," he said.
"At the cook-out after the game we spent a lot of the time with the coaches. Coach Steele, coach Davis, coach Saban, pretty much everybody."
The winners of the A-Day game were served a nicer meal following the game as Billinglsey said, "I ate with the White team."
"Oh yes ma'am," as he laughed.
Plenty of recruits were in Tuscaloosa for unofficial visits as Billingley shared who he spent time with on campus.
We asked Billingsley, aside from the already committed players to Alabama (Corey Smith, Brandon Lewis), did he see any of the rest of that group joining him in Tuscaloosa in the fall of 2008.
"I think Tyler (Love) will be heading down there too," Billingsley said. "I think he is going to follow in his Mom and Dad's footsteps (UA graduates). Barrett Jones (Evangelical Christian School, Tenn. ) said he was considering it hard too."
"Julio (Jones) said he really liked it, but I don't know."
When asked Billingsley's level of commitment to Alabama, "100-percent," he said.
