William Green Back from Tuscaloosa

Spain Park defensive end William Green attended Alabama's A-Day game Saturday afternoon, and he came away impressed with the Crimson Tide's progress. He talks about his visit and his latest scholarship offers.

"The visit to Alabama went well," said William Green from Hoover, (Ala.). "There were a lot of people there. I couldn't believe it."

"I thought their scrimmage went pretty well. You could tell they are getting better by watching the scrimmage. I think they are heading in the right direction."

Green has been a frequent visitor to Tuscaloosa this spring. He spent time with coach Nick Saban and several prospects during the return visit.

"I talked to coach Saban for a while. He was just saying the same stuff. He told my dad how he would use me at the 'Jack' position," he said.

"I talked to a few of the other guys down there like Tyler Love, Barrett Jones, Jerrell Harris and Justin Rogers."

When asked favorites Green replied, "I don't have any favorites right now. I really like the atmosphere down there (Tuscaloosa). It just feels like home. I plan to have a top five after spring training."

Green talked of his latest scholarship offers as well.

"The LSU offer came in. They offered me on Friday. I feel real good about it because it's another SEC offer," he said.

"Louisville offered me as well. It came around the time of the combine [Parkside Combine, Spain Park]. I am glad they offered me because "Peanut" Whitehead is up there."

Green plans to attend the Scout.com All-American Combine in Atlanta May 26 and will take an unofficial visit to Auburn June 2.
