Jerrell Harris Back from A-Day, New Offer

Jerrell Harris, from Gadsden, (Ala.) City, is one of the top linebackers in the country for the class of 2008. He has reeled in several major scholarship offers, and he took an unofficial visit to Alabama for their spring game. Harris talks about the trip, and a new SEC offer.

"The visit to Alabama went good," said Jerrell Harris from Gadsden, (Ala.). "It was a great atmosphere. There were a ton of fans there."

"I thought it was a great scrimmage. It was a lot better than the other scrimmages I have been to this spring. It was a lot more up-tempo."

"I talked to all the coaches during my trip. They told me they were really glad to see me."

"I talked to a few of the other recruits who were there as well. I spent time with William Green and Tyler Love."

"I feel about the same with Alabama as I did before. I really like the atmosphere and how much the fans appreciate and support their team. I am still open right now."

Harris will see college coaches from across the country visit northeast Alabama as Gadsden City begins spring training Wednesday. He recently received another big SEC offer.

"I received an offer from Georgia last week. That was a great offer, and I was excited about it," he said.

Harris will attend the Scout.com All-American combine in Atlanta May 26.
