Dekendrick Moncrief Talks A-Day Visit

Dekendrick Moncrief, from the 6A state champion Prattville Lions, already has one in-state offer. The talented receiver took a trip to the Alabama this past weekend for the A-Day game, and ScoutSouth.com talked with Moncrief about the visit.

"It went good," Dekendrick Moncrief said from Prattville, (Ala.). "I wasn't expecting that many people to be there."

"I met a couple of the players and coaches, and I sat on the sideline watching the game. That is really all I did. I think they are going to be real good this year. The defense looked real good. The offense started off slow, but they picked it up at the end."

Moncrief talked about his favorite part of the trip. "It was the crowd no doubt. I liked that a lot." he said.

The Auburn Tigers have offered a scholarship to the 6-0, 175-pound wideout and appear to have the early lead for his signature.

As for Alabama, "They really didn't show that much interest in me at all," Moncrief stated.

"Auburn is the only offer I have so far. I would say that they are probably my favorite with Florida."

"I am hearing from Auburn, Alabama, Vanderbilt, Memphis, Florida, South Carolina, Clemson, Ole Miss and a few more schools."

"My final decision will come down to the school's location, my major and playing time."
