Bama Announces Vegas Tourney Opponents

The University of Alabama basketball team will open the sixth annual 2007 Findlay Toyota Las Vegas Classic hosting Wofford in the first round and UT Pan American in the second round before traveling to Las Vegas to play perennial Missouri Valley Conference contender Missouri State.

Each of the eight teams in the tournament plays four games. The first two games will be played at campus sites. On Thursday the tournament announced the hosts for those first two rounds. On December 17 Alabama will host Wofford and it will host UT Pan American on December 19. The third round and the championship round games are played at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. Alabama will play Missouri State at 5 p.m. PDT or 7 p.m. CT on December 22. Other third-round match-ups include Wofford vs. Texas Southern at 2 p.m. CT, UT Pan American vs. Bethune Cookman at 4:30 p.m. CT, and Purdue vs. Iowa State at 9:30 p.m. CT.

The winner of the Alabama vs. Missouri State game plays the winner of the Purdue Iowa State game on December 23 at 9:30 p.m. CT in the championship round at Orleans Arena.
