Grant Earns SEC Honor As Top Frosh Again
Alabama tailback Terry Grant, a Lumberton, Miss., native logged his second 100-yard game of the season in UA's 24-10 win over the Commodores. Grant finished with 173 yards on 24 carries with a pair of touchdowns on Saturday. For the second week in a row, he scored on the Tide's first offensive play from scrimmage at the 12:26 mark in the first quarter.
Grant was the key in the Tide's fourth-quarter touchdown drive that put Alabama up by three scores. He accounted for 80 of the 86 yards in the drive and capped off the possession with a 2-yard scoring run, his second score of the day. Grant also caught three passes on the afternoon for 26 yards.
After two weeks of play, Grant is averaging 153.5 rushing yards per game, which ranks eighth in the NCAA in that category. He has five rushing touchdowns on the season, tying him for first in the national statistics. His efforts have helped the Tide rack up 267 yards per game on the ground as Alabama is 12th in the NCAA in rushing yards.

Gilberry recorded four tackles, including one for loss, forced one fumble and tallied four quarterback hurries against Vanderbilt.
