Alabama Commitment Recruits

Tyler Love, National 100 offensive tackle from Mountain Brook, (Ala.), attended the Alabama game this weekend in Tuscaloosa. He has been to all the home games, and is a leader of an elite group of Tide commitments for the class of 2008. Love's Spartan team is eager to get back on track after a rough early season.

"We had a tough loss to Hoover Friday night," Tyler Love said. ‘We played real hard against them, but we just couldn't get anything going. This week we will play at home against Florence."

"Right now we are 1-3. The only team we have beaten is Minor. I think we can get the season turned around. We have some tough games left. We still play Vestavia, Homewood, Oak Mountain and Hayes."
Love still enjoyed his third visit to Tuscaloosa despite the loss to Georgia. He took time with recruits and coaches during his visit.
‘It was a fun game. It was definitely thrilling how the ball kept going back and forth. I talked to Jerrell Harris, Antoine McClain, Glenn Harbin and Destin Hood. I hung out with Arthur Brown a good amount of time. He sounded like he was having a good time," Love said.

"I talked to coach [Joe] Pendry, coach [Kirby] Smart, coach [Nick] Saban, coach [Curt] Cignetti and coach [Lance] Thompson. I pretty much talked to all of them. They said they were glad to have me down. They said they were glad for what I am doing for the program by helping talk to recruits."

"I have been to all the home games. The fans expect a lot more out of this team. There has been a lot more mention of coach Saban than the team, but that's always the case with a new coach."

"Fans expect so much more. They are going to think it's awful that we lost."

"A lot more fans care about it than last year. The games have been pretty loud. A lot louder than last year. I plan to return for Homecoming."

Several of the state's top recruits are committed to Alabama's class of 2008.

"I text message the guys and see how they are doing. They sometimes call me. I talk to Jerrell Harris, Antoine McClain and William Green. William and I talk a lot. Antoine and I are starting to become good friends as well as Jerrell. I think we have a good chance to get all of them," Love said.
Love remains a hot commodity including from Alabama's most recent opponent.

"Georgia is still recruiting me pretty hard," he said. "They have been calling. I have heard from Florida a little bit as well. I am definitely not going to visit any other schools."
