Star Jackson Talks of Tuscaloosa Visit

Star Jackson, four-star quarterback from Lake Worth, (Fla.), gave his commitment to the University of Alabama before the beginning of the season. Jackson attended his first game in Tuscaloosa for homecoming against Houston. He talks about the visit to his future home.

"I came in late Saturday, so I went straight to the game," said Star Jackson. "After the game we went to eat, and I hung out with the players. The next morning I went in with the coaches, and we reviewed the game. It was cool."

"I thought the game was good. It was homecoming, so I didn't get to see a lot of the crazy fans that come in for the big SEC games. Overall it was a good atmosphere, and I can see myself playing there."

"It was fun to go out with the players. They were all down to earth, normal people. They knew who I was. I hung out with guys like D.J. Hall and John Parker [Wilson]. I really hung out with everybody."

"It was good to watch film with the coaches. They really critique the players rather than getting on them when they make a mistake. The coaches told me they were really looking forward to me coming there, and they are excited."

"I am planning on going back for the LSU game. I know right now I am going to take my official visit after the season. Julio Jones, [Tyler] Love and I are going to all try to visit the same weekend."

"I try to stay in touch with most of the commitments and top uncommitted players. I asked the coaches to give me all their phone numbers. I have stayed in contact with Melvin Ray and B.J [Burton] Scott the most. Julio has been real busy lately, but I have talked to him a couple of times."

Lake Worth defeated Wellington 27-6 last week and will travel Friday night for their next contest.

"We did pretty good the other night," Jackson said. "I had 230 yards passing and two touchdowns. I threw for one touchdown and rushed the other one. We play at Jupiter Friday night. I feel pretty good about the game. I think we'll win."
