I am most grateful for a family that has always been more than one could dream of. I hope that all of you have time this week with friends and family. My family is visiting in different parts of the country this week, but I'm looking forward to a wonderful Thanksgiving Day dinner with my wife and our great friends.
I am thankful for the job I have. I can't think of a better one, though it's not exactly what my friends think it is -- that I get paid to go to games. Still, it's got more fun in it than a lot of jobs.
I also couldn't ask to do what I do in a better place. I appreciate greatness and tradition, and there is no better place than The University of Alabama.
I am thankful that Alabama football is going to be better and quickly. Our enemies have had fun too long at the expense of Crimson Tide teams that were at a disadvantage. Those days are over.
I know there are many, many things in this world more important than sports. But I am thankful that since the dawn of civilization athletics has played a part in the completeness of humankind. And I am thankful I don't have to explain that to thinking people.
I am most thankful that I and almost everyone in my family enjoys good health, and that those who need care are able to have it.
I am thankful that The University of Alabama has a large number of knowledgeable, enthusiastic supporters and fans and that a number of them (You!) choose to hang out at BamaMag.com and subscribe to 'BAMA Magazine.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
