Big Recruiting Weekend in Tuscaloosa

The Alabama coaching staff will host their biggest recruiting weekend since they were hired in Tuscaloosa. Several of the nation's elite prospects are scheduled for their official visits beginning Friday through Sunday. presents a list of players who are expected on campus later today.

Julio Jones, the nation's top receiver from Foley, (Ala.), is the headliner of the group and on his first of five official visits. His teammate and Alabama commitment, three-star safety Robert Lester, will make the trip as well.

Jerrell Harris

Jerrell Harris, four-star linebacker from Gadsden-City, (Ala.), took an unofficial visit last weekend to USC and plans to return to Los Angeles in January. This weekend begins his first of five official visits.

Antoine McClain

Antoine McClain, four-star offensive tackle from Anniston, (Ala.), makes his first official visit as well. McClain plans to take all five visits before making a decision.

Chris Jordan

Chris Jordan, four-star running back from Brentwood-Academy, (Tenn.), will take his second and final official visit to Alabama. Jordan has trimmed his list to Alabama and Clemson. He expects to make a decision soon after the visit.

Robert Quinn

Robert Quinn, four-star defensive end from North Charleston-Fort Dorchester, (S.C.), had emergency brain surgery during football season and has recovered quickly. Alabama, Auburn and North Carolina remain as his top three schools.

Chris Tolliver

Chris Tolliver, four-star wide receiver from Rayville, (La.), has Alabama at the top of his list. A commitment is possible this weekend.

Chris Jackson

Two surprise visitors include Chris Jackson, four-star wide receiver from McDonough-Henry County, (Ga.), and Alex Ford, junior college defensive tackle from Poplarville-Pearl River, (Miss.).

Jackson has been a solid commitment to Georgia Tech since January, but Alabama will get a look after the departure of head coach Chan Gailey. Jackson plans to graduate in December.

Ford is a 6-2, 300-pound defensive tackle who will graduate this month and enroll in the school of his choice in January.

Lavar Edwards

Lavar Edwards, three-star tight end from Baton Rouge-Desire Street Academy, (La.), is a strong LSU lean, but a great trip to Alabama could sway a different expected decision.

Toby Jackson
Toby Jackson, four-star defensive end from Griffin, (Ga.), is a soft-commitment to Georgia. He plans to take all official visits before making a final decision. He was high on the Tide before his decision to the Bulldogs.

Tyler Love

To assist and help solidify decisions this weekend the coaching staff will host several top commitments including Tyler Love, Burton Scott, Star Jackson, Devonta Bolton, Terrance Cody, Brandon Lewis, Undra Billingsley and Corey Smith.
