Robby Green Talks of Tide Decision

Robby Green, four-star cornerback from River Ridge-John Curtis Christian, (La.), ended his recruitment by giving his verbal pledge to Alabama head coach Nick Saban. An excited Green talks about his commitment to the Crimson Tide.

"I committed to Alabama last night, "said Robby Green. "Coach Saban came by my house last night. I told him toward the end of the night I was ready to commit. He was excited."

"Coach [Burton] Burns told me as soon as coach Saban got back to the school he was telling everyone. Coach Burns said he has never seen coach Saban that excited."

"I love coach Burns and coach Saban. They are both great guys. It's like a family over there. They have a lot to offer. I like the fact I will have a chance to go in and play early."

"There were rumors the other day that I had torn my ACL in the state championship game. I sprained my knee, and I will be fine in six weeks."

"Coach Saban had heard about it. He told me if I had torn my ACL he would still have a scholarship for me. That just shows what kind of person he is."

When asked of other visits Green replied, "I am not going to visit anywhere else. I am going to visit Alabama January 11, and that will be a wrap."

"The coaches want me to come in and play cornerback. I can't wait to play cornerback at Alabama. I can't wait to get there. Alabama has a great class. I think we are going to end with the No.1 class in the country."
