Ivan Matchett Helps Recruit in Tuscaloosa
"It went real good," Ivan Matchett said. "I got to hang out with all the players and the coaches. It was like a family reunion because we had not seen each other in a long time. It wasn't really a lot of recruiting going on just a lot of talk about life and other stuff."
"Javier Arenas was my host. We had met before, but had never really hung out. He is real cool."
"I spent most of my time with coach Saban, coach Thompson (Lance) and my running back coach (Burton Burns). I had a blast talking with them."
Matchett also took time to do a little recruiting with some of the uncommitted prospects who were on campus.
"I tried to get Glen (Harbin) and Zo (Alonzo Lawrence) to commit. I didn't realize that Zo lived just 30 minutes from me. He is real cool. I think he enjoyed the trip," Matchaett said.
With the football season complete and his recruitment finished, Matchett said he is getting ready to start another sport.
. "I am about to start track. We get our workout programs from Alabama in February, and I will hit that hard," he said.
