Eastern Division Title on Line in Border Rivalry

With a win over Florida, Georgia will claim at least a share of the Eastern Division title and clinch its first-ever berth into the SEC Championship Game, which will be played Dec. 6 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. Florida can keep its Eastern Division championship hopes alive with a win against Georgia then follow it with wins against Vanderbilt and South Carolina and then hope that Georgia would lose to either Auburn or Ole Miss.

South Carolina is the only other team that can win the Eastern Division. The Gamecocks must win the remainder of its games and hope that Georgia loses the remainder of its games.

Turnovers Lost = Loss

Last weekend, three SEC teams lost five or more turnovers in games and all three fell to defeat. Tennessee lost six turnovers to Alabama and lost, 34-14. Ole Miss lost five turnovers to Arkansas and lost, 48-28, and LSU lost five turnovers to Auburn and lost, 31-7.

There have been 14 times this year when an SEC team has lost four or more turnovers in a game. Of those games, an SEC team has won only three of those contests - Auburn vs. Syracuse (Tigers lost four turnovers), Miss. State vs. Troy State (Bulldogs lost four turnovers) and Ole Miss vs. Arkansas State (Rebels lost four turnovers).

SEC teams have lost four or more turnovers in nine conference games and have not won any of those contests.
