The Alabama baseball team will host a free "Kids Clinic" beginning Saturday at 10 a.m. at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. The clinic is open to all kids ages five through the seventh grade. All participants are asked to be at Sewell-Thomas Stadium by 9:45 a.m. Saturday and there is no pre-registration. "This is the highlight of the season for the Grand Slammers," club president Ron Hughston said. "We are expecting a great turnout for Saturday. The kids clinic is new and a great idea. We all look forward to meeting the team and seeing an intrasquad game later in the day. This is an exciting time of the year as baseball season is just one week away."
Coach Jim Wells and the Crimson Tide baseball team will be on hand to meet the fans at the barbecue. The team will sign autographs and pose for photos from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The day will conclude with an intrasquad game on Saturday beginning at 2 p.m.
