Caldwell On Remington Award Watch List
Antoine Caldwell, who earned his degree from Alabama in less than three years and was a 2007 team captain, enters fall camp as a starter for the fourth straight season. He has been named to the Rimington Watch List in each of the last three years. The Montgomery, Alabama native played the majority of his snaps last season at center, but showed his versatility with starts at offensive guard and offensive tackle.
In all, there are 42 players on the Rimington Watch List. This year's group includes two finalists from 2007, as well as the 2007 winner – Arkansas' Jonathan Luigs. Caldwell and Luigs are two of five SEC players on the list, joined by Jason Bosley (Auburn), Brett Helms (LSU) and Josh McNeil (Tennessee).
Caldwell and Alabama junior offensive tackle Andre Smith were named to the Outland Trophy Watch List on April 22.
