The big news of the week is Montez Robinson, Scout.com four-star defensive end from Avon, (Ind.). Robinson will travel Saturday to Tuscaloosa for an official visit.
Robinson is committed to Auburn, but expressed interest in Alabama prior to his commitment to the Tigers.
Chris Bonds, Scout.com four-star defensive end from Columbia-Richland Northeast, (S.C.), is scheduled in for an official visit. Bonds has already visited Notre Dame and has plans to visit Tennessee as well.
The coaching staff would like to add a top flight safety to the 2009 class. Jonathan Scott, Scout.com three-star safety from Daytona Beach-Seabreeze, (Fla.), will arrive in Tuscaloosa for an official visit.
The three official visitors will headline the group of prospects expected to roam the sidelines at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Brandon Moore, Scout.com four-star offensive tackle from Carver-Montgomery, (Ala.), will take an unofficial visit.
A few other unofficial visitors include Chad Bumphis, four-star wide receiver from Tupelo, (Miss.) and Kevin Norwood, three-star wide receiver from Biloxi-D'Iberville, (Miss.). Pat Patterson, three-star wide receiver from Macon-Noxubee County, (Miss.), may travel to Tuscaloosa as well. All three Mississippi wide outs hold a scholarship offer from Alabama.
A couple of standout out juniors expected include D.J. Howard, running back from Lincoln, (Ala.), and Demont Buice, running back from Gaston, (Ala.).
The Tide staff will bring in several of their top committed prospects including D.J. Fluker, four-star offensive tackle from Foley, (Ala.), and Nico Johnson, five-star linebacker from Andalusia, (Ala.).
A few other commitments expected to arrive include: Chance Warmack, three-star offensive guard from Atlanta-Westlake, (Ga.), Darius McKeller, Sthree-star offensive tackle from Jonesboro, (Ga.), Kellen Williams, three-star offensive tackle from Snellville-Brookwood, (Ga.), William Ming, four-star defensive tackle from Athens, (Ala.), Gerald West, three-star cornerback from Mobile-Faith Academy, (Ala.), Quinton Dial, three-star defensive tackle from Clay-Chalkville, (Ala.) and Anthony Steen, three-star offensive guard from Clarksdale-Lee County, (Miss.).
